A jury has ruled in favor of the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in an $8 million trade secrets case brought by Grand Sierra Resort. The decision was handed down Wednesday after a two-week trial. The law suit was filed in 2013 after a corporate analyst for Peppermill was caught using a reset key to gather information from its slot machines. Nevada investigators found the analyst had also collected data from at least 10 other Nevada casinos. Grand Sierra had sought damages, a temporary restraining order and injunction as well as legal fees.
