Cumulus Media’s News/Talk KKOH in Reno is seeking a part time on-air studio operator, news and traffic reporter/announcer. Our ideal candidate should possess an extremely good work ethic, be a self-starter, and highly organized with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Our Opportunity:

This position is for a part time studio operator, news and traffic reporter/announcer. Previous commercial radio experience in news is preferable, but not required. Current or recent broadcast journalism students are encouraged to apply. Versatility is key. You must possess the ability to gather, write, produce and announce news content and traffic reports, plus operate the station master control studio. Strong computer skills are necessary, plus an ability to connect with listeners via social media and personal appearances.  It’s necessary that applicants have a flexible schedule and be available to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Previous on air and commercial radio experience preferable, but not required
  • Broadcast Journalism students encouraged to apply
  • Strong ability to write, produce and announce news
  • Operation of station’s master control studio
  • Ability to connect with listeners via social media and appearances
  • Strong computer skills
  • Flexible schedule and able to work weekends/holidays
