A man is dead after he was hit by a car on I-580 near Bowers Mansion in Washoe Valley. The man was standing or walking in the northbound lanes of the highway, when he was struck by a Honda Civic around 1:07 Monday morning. NHP has identified the man hit by the car as 18 year old Chile Bartels of Carson City. 42 year old James Dolan, the man who hit him stayed at the scene. He was arrested on warrants unrelated to this case.
