A former El Dorado County sheriff’s drug task force member at Lake Tahoe, has pleaded guilty to one count of drug trafficking. Douglas County sheriff’s deputies arrested 48 year old Mark Zlendick at his home southwest of Gardnerville last spring, after he was accused of stealing drugs from an evidence locker in South Lake Tahoe. Zlendick agreed to a plea deal that will avoid a possible life sentence, capping the prison sentence at 10 to 25 years. He’ll be sentenced in April.
