Nearly 20 people were evacuated from an apartment building on the 600 block of Hot Springs Road in Carson City last night due to a gas leak.  The leak occurred when a car ran into the side of the apartment complex, hitting four gas meters. The leak forced the closure of Hot Springs Road between Tiger Drive and Roop Street for a few hours, but the roadway has since reopened. Now, Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies are searching for the driver who fled the scene. They’ve identified him as 38 year old Francisco Perez. There is evidence that alcohol was involved in the crash.
