The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District is looking for volunteers, to help augment career firefighters, with weather emergencies, emergency medical services, wildland and structure firefighting, vehicle accident response, and logistical support.  You must be at least 18 and able to pass a physical in order to respond to an active emergency scene.  Those who are interested in providing non-operational support outside of active emergency scenes, are also welcome as auxiliary volunteers. The meeting is Saturday 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Washoe County Administration Complex’s Commission Chambers located in Building A on the corner of 9th and Wells.
