Nevada Joins “Clean Power Plan” Lawsuit

Nevada wasn’t part of the lawsuit against the federal “Clean Power Plan,” until now. Attorney General Adam Laxalt filed a friend-of-the-court brief in a multi-state challenge to the plan currently pending in the D.C. Court of Appeals. Laxalt says the brief highlights the EPA’s overreach and disregard for the rule of law. John Friedrich, of “Climate Parents” says Laxalt’s opposition to the Clean Power Plan is a disservice to the people of Nevada, and places the interests of a few out of state coal companies over the health and well-being of Nevada’s children, communities and climate.
