Plumbers, carpenters, electricians, painters and others, walked away from the construction site Monday, at the Tesla Gigafactory. They say the tax breaks Nevada gave to the company, are being used to hire out of state workers. Tesla issued a statement saying 50% of the workers being used by that contractor, and nearly 75% of it’s entire workforce is made up of Nevadan’s. They say the real issue for the Carpenters Union is the contractor they don’t like is non union.
