It’s time for the 13th annual CANstruction that benefits the Food Bank of Northern Nevada. Eleven teams are going head to head, and can to can, to build a structure out of canned food inside Meadowood Mall. The event kicks off today, and once the structures are built, they’ll be judged in four categories including structural ingenuity, best meal, best use of labels, and Juror’s Favorite. Then all the cans get donated to the food bank. The event wraps up on Sunday, so you have plenty of time to get out and see the creations. And don’t forget to vote in the People’s Choice Award. You can do that from 10am Wednesday through Sunday. Each vote you cast costs $1, and all the money raised also goes to the food bank. You can even vote online at fbnn.org/canstruction2016
