A Reno man has been convicted by a federal jury of kidnapping a 15-year-old boy and girl in California and bringing them to Reno for the girl to engage in illegal sexual activity.  50-year-old John Thomas Abrams, was convicted of two counts of kidnapping and one count of transportation of a minor for illegal sexual activity. Abrams faces a minimum of 20 years in prison on the kidnapping charges, a minimum of 10 years in prison on the transportation charge, and fines of up to $250,000 on each count. Abrams remains in custody and is scheduled to be sentenced June 13th.
