One man is dead after an officer involved shooting near the Lemmon Drive underpass along 395 last night. Police say a man called emergency dispatchers around 8:00 PM threatening to harm himself and others. Officers were dispatched to help the man, and when they arrived on scene, they were quickly pulled into a pursuit which ended at the Lemmon Valley Underpass. Officers tried to negotiate with the man who they say was armed and acting erratically . Several shots were fired and the man was rushed to the hospital, where he died from his injuries. The officers involved in the shooting are on administrative leave.  The Sparks Police Department is leading the investigation.
