A one mile section of Nugget Avenue is getting ready for a makeover, and the work starts on Monday. Repaving and reconstruction will be happening between Pyramid and McCarran through the end of spring, and eastbound traffic will be closed during the duration of the project.  Curbs and gutters will also be replaced during the $800,000 project. The last time the roadway was resurfaced was in the mid 90’s.
