Sharron Angle is giving it another go, the former state legislator filed paperwork in Carson City to run for the republican nomination for the U.S. Senate. Until now congressman Joe Heck and former Democratic Attorney General Catherine Cortez Masto were the heavyweights in the race. Angle told the AP she’s jumping into the race because of the “clamor of the people,” and says she’s the most conservative candidate in the race. Angle lost a close race to Harry Reid in 2010.
