A man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly committing multiple crimes, including vandalizing a cemetery. Police said they received a call from personnel at the Truckee Cemetery District stating that vandalism had occurred on their property overnight. They found graffiti in the gazebo area and several markers defaced. Officers collected evidence at the scene, and the graffiti helped them identify 25-year-old Miguel Soto, as a possible suspect. Soto was booked into the Nevada County Sheriff’s Substation in Truckee on suspicion of felony vandalism to a cemetery, criminal threats to his family, burglary to an occupied residence and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $52,500.
