The Washoe County School District’s board has appointed a new trustee to fill the position left vacant after Barbara McLaury announced her resignation earlier this year.  Dr. Diane Nicolet will be representing District G, which covers 46 schools in the district. Nicolet has taught at the University of Nevada, Reno and TMCC and says she’s looking forward to getting to work.  Dr. Nicolet says she has no plans to run for the position after she finishes McLaury’s term, so she can focus solely on the job, instead of splitting her time between that and her campaign.
