The ESA program may be in legal limbo, but the State Treasurer’s Office has received more than 1,000 new applications during the most recent enrollment period, which ended last week. Treasurer Dan Schwartz says, the continued stream of ESA applications indicates the importance which Nevada families attach to educational choice. In spite of great uncertainty over the court-ordered injunction, the ESA program continues to generate enormous interest among Nevada parents. Schwartz remains confident the Court will make a decision soon so that families are no longer left in limbo.  The next scheduled open enrollment period to apply for an ESA account is May 1st to June 30th.
