Homeless Reno Man Files Federal Lawsuit

The apparent random disposal of the belongings of homeless people in Reno has led to a federal lawsuit. 57 year old Leo Johnson left a duffel bag filled with his property at a shelter, including a set of dentures while he was being treated at a local hospital. He says when he returned, everything he owned was gone, despite pleading with them to protect his property. The suit is against Volunteers of America, the non profit that operates the homeless shelter in downtown Reno. Civil Rights Lawyer Terri Kyser-Cooper has taken the case.
