The November ballot is starting to take shape, with the announcement of the official names of two key ballot measures. The Nevada Secretary of State’s Office says the initiative to require background checks on gun sales and transfers will be Question 1. The effort to legalize marijuana for recreational use in Nevada will be called Question 2. Those are the only ones to qualify for the general election ballot, so far, but other measures could appear, if they survive court challenges and supporters gather enough valid signatures by state deadlines. Among those yet to qualify include measures to deregulate Nevada’s electricity market, require voters to show ID, and reverse a rate hike for rooftop solar customers.
