A public memorial service for former Sierra Fire Protection District Chief Mike Greene, is set for Saturday at noon, at the Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District’s Fire Station 36 in Arrowcreek. A celebration of life and potluck will follow the service at 3 p.m. at Eagles Hall, 1380 East 5th St. in Carson City. Chief Charles Moore says Mike Greene was a forward thinking leader who advanced fire based paramedicine. Green was SFPD Chief from 2007 to 2011. He suffered from heart health issues.
