The Reno Fire Department is investigating what caused a fire in a home on Claremont Street. Officials with Reno Fire say they received a call about smoke in the area just before midnight last night. When they arrived they found smoke but no fire. After further investigation crews found a broken water line in the basement which they say burst from the heat and then extinguished the fire. Two dogs died from smoke inhalation. One woman living in the home has been displaced.
