The U.S. Forest Service is doing a prescribed burn of up to 50 acres near Stampede Reservoir. The burn is designed to reduce hazardous fuels that can reduce serious forest fires. It can also improve forest health. Weather conditions have to be correct for safety and smoke dispersion before they will burn.
