Reno Mayor Hillary Schieve is frustrated that the latest budget proposal doesn’t include funding for new police officers.  The Mayor’s also concerned about the time it takes to start a hiring process and get new cops on the street, which she blames on civil service and human resources delays.  Chief Soto says even one new cop can make a difference, but a team of new officers would help a lot more. Schieve says she’s going to work on it.
