The South Lake Tahoe Police station and government center had a scare yesterday morning after a suspected pipe bomb was found in front of the building that houses both offices. The device was determined to be a hoax meant to cause panic. That prompted the Carson City Sheriff’s Deputies to conduct a sweep outside of their headquarters on Musser Street, where a suspicious bag was found. The bag turned out to be harmless.
