Officials with the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office have confirmed that the body of a man who may have fallen into the Truckee River over the weekend has been found. Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon says volunteers with the department’s HASTY Team located the body in the river near the Glendale Bridge at about 7:30 yesterday evening — about two hours after they resumed the search. Witnesses said they saw a man fall or jump into the river Saturday night. Searchers were unable to locate the man either Saturday or Sunday, but the HASTY search team resumed the search yesterday at about 5:00 in the afternoon.
