Reno’s Downtown Library Celebrating 50 Years

The Downtown Reno Library is celebrating it’s 50th birthday. The library opened to the public May 13, 1966, and has been a popular attraction ever since. They’ll celebrate 50 years with a party Sunday. It will include programs, displays of historical photographs and of course, cake. The event at the Downtown Reno Library at 301 S. Center Streetstarts at 10 a.m. Cake and beverages will be served on the 4th Level from 1230 to 2pm The Paws 2 Read will be at 2pm on the Main Floor Pod, also at 2pm Brüka’s Theatre for Children presents “Snow White and Rose Red” in the Auditorium.
