A young local golfer has battled his way back to the Barracuda Championship. Fallon’s Scott Smith won the Reno Open  Wednesday to earn an automatic berth into June’s PGA Tour event at Montreux.  It will be Smith’s third chance at the local PGA Tour event. He qualified in 2011 and 2012 when it was still called the Reno-Tahoe Open, and even made the cut in 2012. The Barracuda Championship runs June 30 through July 2nd.
