Nevada’s Jobless Rate Holds Steady

Nevada’s jobless rate held steady to 5.8 percent last month, according to the Department of Employment and Training. The national jobless rate is 5%. State economist Bill Anderson, says construction added 6,100 jobs, in the first four months of the year. Trade, transportation and utilities added 9,100 jobs so far the first quarter. Nevada unemployment peaked at 13.7 percent in the summer of 2008.
