The Reno City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board approved a $532.2 million budget for this year and next. The General Fund budget, would spend $178.8 million, an increase of more than $10 million compared to the last budget. The new budget focuses on paying down debt, supporting public safety and parks, and increasing homeless services, despite property tax cap limiting revenues. Reno City Manager Andrew Clinger calls it a balanced, fiscally responsible budget for the upcoming year.
