A teenage boy charged with open murder will be tried as an adult, according to the Washoe County District Attorney’s Office. The shooting happened at Pat Baker Park last December 29th. A 16-year-old boy inside a car was shot in the head and died a couple days later. His name was not released. Police say the shooting happened after 15-year-old Christian Scott robbed the victim in the park. At the time of the shooting, the victim and a passenger were in a car. The passenger was not hurt. Police say it appears the victim was trying to chase the suspect after the robbery. Scott is charged with one count of Murder, one count of Attempted Murder with a Firearm and one count of Robbery with a Firearm.
