A Reno lawyer has decided to stop representing the doctor accused of heading up a major oxycodone ring in northern Nevada. Doctor Robert Rand faces a multitude of charges including the illegal distribution of oxycodone, resulting in the death of a patient. Attorney John Arrascada says his motion to remove himself from Rand’s case has been approved by federal court. Because of attorney-client privilege, Arrascada would not provide a reason for his decision. But he says two other attorneys, John Ohlson and Jack Fox, have taken over Rand’s case.
