A man is dead in an industrial accident at a facility in Lockwood. Storey County Sheriff’s Office says the incident happened around 10:50 Tuesday morning at Menezes Bros. Inc. 44 year old Alfonso Martinez-Ojeda worked at the alfalfa and straw processing plant for about 4 months and was working on a hay compressor. For unknown reasons, Martinez-Ojeda crawled under a portion of the machinery and accidentally tripped a sensor causing the hay compressor to begin operation, killing him.
