“Plague” Discovered Near Fallen Leaf Lake

A flea from a yellow chipmunk in the Lake Tahoe area tested positive for plague, according to the U.S. Forest Service. Tuesday the Forest Service, El Dorado County and the California Department of Public Health confirmed the presence of plague in the flea taken from Fallen Leaf Campground.
