A brushfire along I 80 near Patrick grew to an estimated two acres, and was contained in about an hour Thursday afternoon. Storey County Fire led the fight, with help from several other agencies. The fire was first reported just before 2PM on the Storey County side of the river. Wind concerns grounded helicopters, so hand crews got it surrounded.
