Incumbent Washoe County Commissioner Vaughn Hartung who has been dogged in the press about losing his temper with a county employee a year ago, and for taking a ride on the Sheriff’s Raven helicopter to “Burning man,” with family members, has been re-elected. Hartung held off popular former State Senator Maurice Washington 55% to 45%. Because there were no democratic candidates, Hartung returns to the commission.
