Firefighters put out a brush fire in the area of Hoge Road and North Virginia Street Sunday afternoon. According to the Reno Fire Department, the fire started just before 1pm and burned five acres. The fire is now 100% contained. Reno Fire says while crews were battling the flames, they realized the fire was not in their jurisdiction. TMFPD and US Forest Service was called and took over the firefighting efforts. Forest Service is now investigating the cause of the fire.
