The Washoe County Commission passed a new firearms discharge ordinance, that changes shooting boundaries on Peavine Mountain.  Shooting is now off limits in areas to the south and east of Peavine Road.  Some recreational shooters admitted there are problems, but say most are responsible, and some of the fears are exaggerated.  Commissioner Vaughn Hartung voted for the ordinance, but added, “We are not going to be able to enforce this.”
