Human remains were recovered Thursday in a car that was found on fire. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the activities of three Silver Springs-area men on Thursday, July 16, that took place near Pyramid Highway south of Pyramid Lake. Just before midnight authorities responded to a fire east of the highway and about 15 miles north of Nixon. After they put out the fire, human remains were found in the vehicle. The sheriff’s office has identified the persons of interest as Shannon Miller, Shawn Miller and Corey Massengale. Detectives are interested in the men’s activities from July 13th to present.   Anyone with information about this case is asked to call detectives or Secret Witness at 322-4900.
