A thief is hitting community mail boxes in southwest Reno, by prying open the locks.  The US Postal Service is responding by sticking notices in mail boxes, warning them of the theft, and encouraging them to report any suspicious activity. The areas hit were Mesa Road, Marble Canyon Road and Peace Pipe Ct.
