Reno Police have released the results of a campaign to keep pedestrians safe. July 21st, they conducted a joint pedestrian safety and DUI campaign in downtown Reno from 2:00 until 11:00 PM, issuing 92 pedestrian and 64 driver citations related to pedestrian violations. Police didn’t make any DUI arrests. This was the second pedestrian safety operation in this area in as many months. As part of the initiative, the Reno Police Department Traffic Division analyzed pedestrian crashes throughout the city over the last five years, the 4th Street corridor downtown had the most accidents.
