Reno Police are letting drivers know, a new  traffic law gives them very wide latitude to cite “Distracted drivers.” This is beyond the cellphone law, which remains in effect. If you’re putting on make-up, shaving, holding a pet on your lap, shaving or even eating, if a police officer considers you distracted, you could face a fine of 305 dollars. A new fine for “Careless driving,” which is also open to wide interpretation, will also be enforced in  the city, and can bring  fines of 450 dollars.
