It’s official, Chick-fil-A will offer its frosted lemonade, peach milkshakes and fried chicken sandwiches to northern Nevada by 2017!
Construction has begun at the former Marie Callender’s near the Kietzke and South McCarran intersection in Reno. Chick-fil-A is replacing the existing building with a new 4,500 sf restaurant that seats 122 people, with a drive-through, according to documents submitted to the city of Reno.
The Reno location is the first one of the planned 8-10 restaurants to be built in Nevada within five years.
Chick-fil-A is a 50-yr-old southern fast-food fried chicken restaurant known for selling 100-percent breast meat chicken fried in peanut oil. It is a religious company whose corporate purpose is, “To glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A,” according to Chick-fil-A’s corporate about page. All Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays to give employees “an opportunity to rest, spend time with family and friends and worship if they choose to do so.”
