The man killed during an officer involved shooting last friday has been identified as 29 year old Reno resident Kyle Zimbelman. Reno Police Officer Tim Broadway says the incident began just after noon, when NHP tried to pull over Zimbelman who was driving a U-Haul van east of Sparks. That led to a chase that up Highway 395 to North Virginia and Stead Boulevard.  At some point shots were fired and the male driver of the vehicle was declared deceased on scene. A Washoe County Sheriff’s Deputy was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries sustained during this incident.
