Reno Police were called to a report of a group of motorcyclists racing in the area of Turbo Circle in South Reno Sunday evening at around 6:30. Arriving officers say they watched the racing and attempted to stop two of them for exhibition of speed. However the bikers were able to evade officers as they sped away southbound on Longley Lane. Officers then talked with a group of motorcyclists and other individuals in the area on Turbo Circle. The group had set up chairs, music and cones in the roadway and had been observing the motorcyclists engaged in racing and exhibition of speed. All 16 adults were issued citations for violating the Reno Municipal Code that prohibits spectating a speed contest or exhibitions of speed.
