The jury is recommending life without parole for 37 year old Ryan Joe Coddington. He was convicted of the first degree murder of Alea Jane Clark. The crime occured in January 2015. Clark was reported missing in Lyon County, her remains were discovered in two different locations. The investigation determined she’d been killed at a home owned by Coddington in Dayton, then parts of her body were burned and buried. Some near Lake Lahonton some near Silver Springs Investigators received a break in the case when a citizen reported going to Lake Lahontan and seeing the fire and the burning remains. Formal sentencing is in October. Coddington and others are also accused of trying to arrange the murder of a witness to Clark’s murder.
