Reno’s oldest cemetery is the subject of controversy. Hillside Cemetery plans to exhume as many as 800 bodies and move them, to make way for a potential development. Details of that development plan aren’t yet clear. The cemetery holds the remains of some of Reno’s founders. The last burial there was in 1959.
