Governor Brian Sandoval issued a Proclamation declaring September as Voter Registration Month in Nevada. Secretary of State Barbara Cegavske and her staff are focusing their efforts to make eligible Nevada voters aware of registration deadlines and requirements, and promote the state resources that are available to help with the process. Residents with a valid driver’s license or identification card from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, can register to vote online at RegisterToVote.com Current registered voters can also update their existing registration information online. Those who prefer to mail in a voter registration application can fill one out online, and return it to their local election official. The deadline to mail in completed voter registration applications is October 8th, while the deadline to register to vote online or in person is October 18th.
