A campfire that wasn’t properly extinguished is blamed for a small wildfire that broke out Monday afternoon west of Donner Ski Ranch. The fire has been contained by Truckee Fire the US Forest Service and Cal Fire. They used air tankers and helicopters to drop water and retardants on the scene, and had it out pretty quickly. No structures were threatened.
