The Reno City Council has approved the negotiated settlement for the departure of City Manager Andrew Clinger, but it was not unanimous. Some members say paying off an employee accused of wrongdoing is premature.  Clinger remains under investigation for sexual harassment, but will walk away with six months salary, and funds to cover his legal costs.  Jenny Brekhus is not happy with the deal, but City Attorney Karl Hall insisted the city is at risk for litigation.  Mayor Hillary Scheieve says she’s lost a lot of sleep over all this, and it’s time to move on for the good of the City. The city of Reno says Andrew Clinger’s resignation will cost $227,885.18.
