Auburn Fire Burns 30 Acres Near Grass Valley

Fire Crews have the upper hand on the Auburn fire burning in the Grass valley area. It has burned about 30 acres near the Empire Mine state park. Officials report the forward progress of the blaze has been stopped. The suspected arsonist, 52-year-old homeless man David Holm, has been arrested after he was seen leaving the immediate area of the fire with burns on his leg. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police say they expect he will be charged with arson upon his release from medical care.
