Governor Brian Sandoval visited Sparks High School yesterday to sign a Proclamation declaring this school year, the Year of STEM education in Nevada. STEM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Year of STEM is a statewide initiative that will be spearheaded by the Governor’s Office of Science, Innovation and Technology. Governor Brian Sandoval says the Year of STEM will provide a platform for our students to learn more about the pathways to careers in the new Nevada economy.
